SEMINAR
Activities of the trade mission included an in-depth seminar held on 28th of May 2023 at the Kempinski Hotel Amman Convention Center under the patronage of his excellency Khalid Al- Hanifat, Minister of Agriculture. The seminar opening speaker was Mr. Mohammad Qaryouti, JEBA vice president who gave the first remarks; followed by Mr. Hazem Smadi; Assistant Secretary general of the ministry of Agriculture; and by Mr. Sa’adi abu Hammad, Head of Traders and Exporters of Vegetables and Fruits Association; and was concluded by the President of the Association of Polish Fruit Growers, Mr. Mirosław Maliszewski. A question-and-answer opportunity was held after each of the speakers’ remarks which allowed the attendees of the seminar to participate. The attended included local importers and food manufacturers as well as the European companies’ representatives from Appolonia, Mega-Fruit, Fruit Family, ECO Grupa, Bialski Owoc, Arctic Produce, and Fruit Group. The seminar was followed by B2B meetings with local importers and manufacturers and a business lunch for all the invitees. The trade mission also included stores visits on the 27th, 28th and 30th of May to some of the largest fruit stores in the capital as well as to Amman’s Main Fruit and Vegetable Market.
PRESS CONFERENCE
The success of the trade mission was concluded by a press conference that was held on May 30th by President of the Association of Polish Fruit Growers, Mr. Mirosław Maliszewski also at the Kempinski Hotel Amman Convention Center. The press conference opening speakers included Mr. Ali Murad president of JEBA and followed by Mr. Hazem Smadi; Assistant Secretary general of the ministry of Agriculture. The press conference attendees included; Chef representative from the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts; who prepared several dishes from European Apples and was enjoyed by all the invitees that also included representative from the different local media representatives and several social media foodie influencers.
